Feeling My Roots

Lunch today: Fried egg and scrapple sandwich, on white bread with mayo (Duke's of course) and sweet tea.

Yum!

    I had no idea people still ate scrapple.......and what in the world is scrapple anyways????

    Also known as "livermush" (which is what I grew up calling it) scrapple is a basically cornmeal cooked with various scraps of pork, including the liver and (I think) kidneys. Then it's formed into little brick shaped loaves. You slice it, fry it, or crumble it into scrambled eggs. It's a little piece of heaven on a plate.
